Four candidates have filed nominations for the Pathibhara Multiple Campus Management Committee Chairperson position in Taplejung. According to the nominations registered on Thursday for the election to be held on Saturday, 2081, Poush 20, four individuals have submitted their candidacies.
According to the Election Committee, the candidates for the chairperson position include Fungling Municipality's Chief Amir Maden, Gajendra Prasad Tumyahang, Shila Ijam, and Kumar Maden. Tumyahang is the outgoing chairperson of the management committee and the president of the Nepali Congress, Taplejung.
Similarly, seven individuals have been nominated for the two positions of female members interested in education. The candidates for this position are Chitramari Changsou, Deumaya Ojha, Anjana Kadaria, Geetakumari Sendang, Matrudevi Prasai, Mala Palungwa, and Maiya Nyaupane. Three individuals have filed nominations for the one social worker position, an intellectual Dalit member.
The candidates for this position are Santosh Kumar Sarki, Tikendra Nepali, and Tulsi Maya Bik. Additionally, four individuals have filed nominations for the position of one Khas Arya education enthusiast and intellectual member. The candidates for this position are Bholanath Paudel, Teknath Adhikari, Matrukaprasad Nepal, and Arjun Prasad Tiwari.
Moreover, seven individuals have filed nominations for the education enthusiast, social worker, and intellectual Indigenous member positions. The Election Committee has reported that the candidates for this position are Prajin Hangbang, Bishwaraj Limbu, Dhanendra Maden, Himkala Gurung, Ram Chandra Pomu, Tej Bahadur Rai, and Prithvi Prasad Maden.
However, the Election Committee has informed that no one has filed nominations for the one position representing donors or endowment donors. Among the candidates for the chairperson position, Shila Ijam has filed a disqualification claim against three other candidates, according to the Election Committee.
According to the election program, the final list of candidates was published after 5 p.m. on Friday, 2081 Poush 19. Voting will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, 2081, Poush 19, and 36 voters will select the campus management committee, according to Advocate Ram Kumar Thapa, the election committee coordinator.
