Padma Raj Dhakal Appointed as the Chancellor of Pokhara Pragya Pratisthan:
Seven people have been appointed in the Pragya Pratisthan of Pokhara Metropolitan City. Mayor Man Bahadur GC has selected the members of the foundation.
Padma Raj Dhakal has been appointed as the chancellor of Pokhara Pragya Pratisthan (Pokhara Academy). Krishna Bhandari, Prakash Gyawali, Jeevan Dahal, Milan Sherchan, Saraswati Shrestha Saru, and Dilip Gayek have been elected as members. All were appointed by Mayor GC on Wednesday. The Vice-Chancellor is yet to be elected.
The committee had recommended the names of Padma Raj Dhakal, Menkaji Gurung, Dhan Bahadur Gayek, Prakash Gyawali, Saraswati Shrestha Saru, Jeevan Dahal, Milan Sherchan, Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Moti Bahadur Karki (Parivartan), Pratik Thapa and Suraj Upadhyay.
Popular singer Dhan Bahadur Gayek died on January 27. The corporation has appointed his son Dilip Gayek as a member of Pragya Pratisthan. Dilip has been appointed in consultation with the recommendation committee.
