Online Labour Permit Renewal Service Started in Nepal:
The Government of Nepal, Department of Foreign Employment has made the service flow technology-friendly and made an arrangement to get renewed labor permit online. Those who have already obtained a Labor Permit from the online system of the department and now want to get a renewed Labor Permit will be able to get the service online.
Citizens in foreign employment can obtain a renewed Labor Permit by paying for term life insurance and welfare funds and applying for a labor permit online, the department said. Those who have come to Nepal on holiday or are abroad can benefit from this.
As they have obtained Labor Permit by scanning their eyes and fingerprints from the online system of the department, they will be able to get a renewed Labor Permit online. Forms for re-employment can be filled online by clicking on the online Labor Permit of the department's website www.dofe.gov.np. After filling the form, you have to choose from which branch to get the renewed Labor Permit.
The department has been issuing labor permits from Biratnagar, Janakpur, Pokhara, Butwal, Surkhet, and Dhangadhi as well as Tahchal of Kathmandu. If the application is returned for any reason during Labor Permit, the SMS with the reason will go to the mobile number of the applicant. The department has requested to mention the correct mobile number and email while filling the form.
The department has also requested to keep 'username' and 'password' safe while applying for a labor permit. Upon receipt of the Labor Permit, the applicant's email will receive a confirmation of the labor approval. The department has stated that the applicant can print and keep it as per his requirement.
The department has already made arrangements to pay the amount of term life insurance and welfare fund online. The department has stated that no additional fee will be charged when paying the amount of insurance and welfare fund online. The department is confident that it will be more convenient for the service recipients as they do not have to be present at the office to get the online service.
