The formal inauguration of the Pokhara University Incubation Center was organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology, in which 70 students participated. Inaugurating the program, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Thagurathi expressed his belief that the incubation center will help students move forward on the path of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Speakers at the program, Ashok Khadka, Ashish Aryal, and Sameer KC provided important information on entrepreneurial thinking, ideation and design thinking, and financial planning for startups, respectively.
Dr. Anantraj Dhungana, School Director of Pokhara University School of Development and Social Engineering, highlighted the need and utility of incubation programs and urged students to take their business ideas forward. Dr. Deepanjal Shrestha, giving detailed information on the incubation process and laboratory facilities, informed about how the university supports student entrepreneurs.
The participating students gained first-hand experience on innovative thinking and business strategies through startup training and workshops. The program began with a welcome address by Associate Professor Jeevan Bhandari and was conducted by Dr. Shanti Devi Chhetri and Biswas Acharya.
