Nepali Mountain climber Nirmal Purja made a record of completing the climb of 8,000 meters in seven months by setting foot on the summit of Sisapangma at 8:58 am local time on Tuesday morning after China granted a 'special permit'.

He cut short his record of eight months by the Polish expedition in 1987 for seven months.

The 36-year-old Purja posted on social media saying 'Mission Achieved' from the peak of Sisapangma. He made a record of climbing 8,000 tall all the mountains in 190 days. Earlier, Georgi Kucuchja of Poland completed the climb of 14 thousand mountains in 1987, taking 7 years 11 months 14 days.

Purja said his team's Mingma David Sherpa, Galjean Sherpa and Jasman Tamang also mounted Sisapangma. Initially unacceptable for the ascent, he faced the biggest challenge of the smallest mountain of eight thousand meters.

He launched the project 'Project Possible' on April 23 with Annapurna's ascent. On the 22nd of May, as the fourth mountain climbed the world's highest summit, he climbed 11 mountains within 90 days. He set the record for climbing Lhotse, Makalu, and Everest within 48 hours. He set foot on the 27th of this expedition on the summit of Manaslu on September 27.

Named 'Nims Dai', the site became the final peak of Purja's campaign in Sisapang. China has banned the ascent of Sissapang in Tibet, China's autonomous region, this season. So the Purpose had to give a lot of credit for climbing acceptance. And, on the initiative of the Government of Nepal, China came to the final destination of the Posable Project on October 15 after giving a special permit.

Everest Mountaineer "He also rescued some ascents from the Death Zone. His campaign received worldwide attention. He was admitted to the British Army's Gorkha Paltan in 2003.

Then, joining the Royal Marines in 2009, he led the 13th Gorkha Expedition in 2017 on the occasion of 200 years of Gorkha recruitment. He was honored with the UK's prestigious MBE and Citizen Award for his successful ascension to the team. He left the UK last year, focusing on mountaineering. (Source Kantipur)
