NIC Asia Laghubitta and Swadeshi Laghubitta Signed on MoU to Merge:
NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Swadeshi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited have merged. A final merger agreement was signed on Friday between NIC Laghubitta, a registered office in Jajarkot, a remote district of Karnali, and NIC Laghubitta, a corporate office in Banepa, Kavrepalanchok district, and Swadeshi Laghubitta, a registered office in Itahari, Sunsari district in Karnali.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the merger was signed between the two institutions on Shrawan32 last year and an in-principle agreement was received from Nepal Rastra Bank on Kartik 19 and Poush 10. The agreement has been signed by Kapil Dhakal, Chairman of NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, and Lalmani Joshi, Chairman of Swadeshi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited.
NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has a total of 120 branches in Karnali and other remote hilly and mountainous districts of the country. Similarly, Swadeshi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has 85 branches in Nepal.
