New Educational Certificate Certification Procedure Approved from MoEST
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has recently approved the Educational Certificate Certification Procedure, 2081. This new procedure aims to simplify the process of educational certificate equivalence.
Certification and Equivalence Provisions

Certificates from Various Institutions: The procedure includes guidelines for the certification and equivalence of educational qualification certificates from universities, institutes, and schools.

School Education Certification: Students or guardians can apply for certification of educational qualifications from Class 1 to Class 9 and Class 11. Required documents include mark sheets, transfer, and migration certificates, verified by the education branch, sub-branch, or an authorized local level employee.

Class 10 and 12 Certification: For certification of Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, verification from the relevant examination control office of the National Examination Board is necessary.

Higher Education Certification: The procedure allows the branch head to certify migration certificates for higher education after submission and verification of all relevant certificates by the authorized body.
Foreign University Certification
- Verification Process: If the education is from a foreign university, verification by the diplomatic mission of the concerned country in Nepal is required.
- Alternative Option: If verification is not possible, a self-declaration can be submitted along with the application.
This new procedure is designed to streamline the certification process, ensuring that all educational qualifications are accurately verified and recognized.
