New Admission Criteria for Admission in Grade 11:

In order to study science and mathematics in class 11, the student must have to get a C plus grade in three compulsory subjects in class 10 Secondary Education Examination (SEE).

The new base has made such an arrangement for admission in class 11 as decided by the Curriculum Development Center.

According to the admission criteria decided by the center, in order to study Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics subjects in class 11 in general, one should have obtained an average grade of 1.6 and obtained C plus grade in compulsory mathematics, science and English in class 10.

Earlier, a minimum average GPA of 2 was required to study science in class 11. Similarly, provision was made to bring C plus in science and mathematics and D plus grade in English, Nepali, and social. By changing that arrangement, the center is going to make such an arrangement from the current academic session.

Ganesh Prasad Bhattarai, director of the center, said that GPA 1.6 should be brought for studying subjects other than physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics and D+ should be brought in compulsory English, mathematics, and science subjects.

For technical and vocational education and traditional education studies, the center has retained the old enrollment basis.

The government had postponed the SEE exam in March in view of the possible infection of Corona. Stating that the effect of the postponed examination would not be felt in the academic session, the government had passed a procedure in June and given the responsibility to the school to evaluate the students. The center has set a new basis for admission in class 11 after the National Examination Board certified the students' marks and made the results public to give legitimacy to the assessment done by the school.
