Nepali student Riya Manandhar has become the world's topper in the examination of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She surpassed 13,000 students worldwide in the tax system exam she took in December 2021. Six thousand four hundred students who participated in this examination had passed.
Manandhar, 20, is currently studying at the British Professional College, an affiliate of ACCA. She will receive 200 pounds sterling as well as a certificate from the ACCA. ACCA Nepal Chief Rabin Katawal said that this was a great achievement for Nepal and confirmed that it has great potential for the students who want to join ACCA both in the present and in the future.
ACCA, which has a worldwide mechanism, has 233,000 professional accountants, including 535,000 students from 178 countries. Nearly three thousand students affiliated with ACCA are studying MCA courses in Nepal. About 500 members of ACCA are working in various positions in Nepal.
