Nepalese Army Plan for Defense University

The attraction of foreign soldiers is increasing in various training organized by the Nepalese Army. With this fascination, the Nepalese Army has also prepared Army Defense University (ADU).

During the past eight years, 763 soldiers of 20 countries have completed training conducted by the Nepal Army. The Nepal Army has been conducting in the five Peace Corridors of the United Nations Peace Work Training in Panchkhal of Kavre, Jungle Warfare in Amlekhgunj of Bara, Mountain Warfare in Mustang, Command and Staff College in Shivapuri of Kathmandu and Officer Cadet Training in Kharipati of Bhaktapur.

Among them, the soldier's relationship with the Para Jump, the ranger (commando), the disaster management and the counter-terrorism, has been jointly operating with the Asia Pacific Command of China, India and the US Army.

Army's participation in various countries is increasing every year for military training and practice. The Nepalese Army had decided to attend foreign military training in various military training centers and institutes from the year 2067 BS.

With this decision, Nepal's landmark, climate, and training for foreign troops became attractive and effective, said Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey.

According to the Military Public Relations and Information Directorate, 29 foreign soldiers from the Army and Staff College have been training from the military training establishment, 277 from Mountain Warfare, 277 in Jungle Warfare, 62, Para Jump 21 and Peace Training Center.

The Nepalese Army has prepared the Defense University for conducting higher studies, teaching, and research on the changing conditions of the National Security, including the National Security Policy and the Immune Policy.

After the establishment of this university, the force of brigade of the army will be forced to hold in different countries to study the National Defense Year mandatory for the top military officials.

Nepalese army has said that Nepal's landmark and climate are attractive for the skills and capabilities of the international army. Army officials claim that the training has been effective in the training and practice of providing three types of land with Terai, mountain and hill areas.

For foreign trainees each year has been divided into four military training centers in Bhaktapur, Kharipati, 10 at the Staff College, Seven in Mountain Warfare, 13 in Jungle Warfare, and 6 in Para School.

Mountain Warfare and Jungle Warfare trainers have participated more than a quota. In the UN peace process, the attraction of foreign troops is increasing.

Nepalese Army Spokesman Pandey informed that neighboring countries not only India and China but also the army of African countries. 20 countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, China, Sri Lanka, America, Britain, South Korea, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia have been engaging in various types of training and practice operating in Nepal.
