Nepal Rastra Bank and Tribhuvan University Signed MoU for Academic Research and Research Work

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is going to assist those who do scientific research. Nepal Rastra Bank and Tribhuvan University have reached an understanding for this purpose. A memorandum of understanding has been signed to cooperate in academic research and research work.

In the presence of Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari, Tulasi Prasad Ghimire, Acting Executive Director of Manpower Management Department and Prof. Dr. Shivaraj Adhikari, Head of Central Department of Economics, Tribhuvan University and Prof. Dr. Ramji Gautam, Head of Central Department of Management signed the agreement on behalf of the NRB.

As per the MoU, the NRB will provide annual fellowships to five postgraduate, two MPhil, and two doctoral students in the Central Department of Economics and Management for the purpose of preparing research papers. Similarly, it has been agreed to give priority to the postgraduate students of the university on the occasion of the internship available in the bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Adhikari said that the understanding between the bank and the university was a positive start in itself. He expressed the belief that this cooperation would lead to significant achievements in academic research. Acting Executive Director Ghimire expressed confidence that the MoU would facilitate research, exchange of knowledge, and provide important policy resources through research. The bank has taken a similar policy with other universities.
