Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of fuel. Stating that the price of fuel has increased in the international market, the corporation has increased the price of petrol, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 2 per liter with effect from 12 noon on Wednesday.
According to Binit Mani Upadhyaya, spokesperson of the corporation, the new retail price of petrol will be Rs 127 and that of diesel and kerosene will be Rs 110 after the adjustment according to the automatic price system.
Similarly, the price of aviation fuel has also been increased. Aviation fuel has been increased by Rs 2 per liter domestically and USD $20 per kiloliter internationally, the corporation said.
"After the price adjustment, the retail market price of aviation fuel has been fixed at Rs 82 per liter on the domestic side and USD $735 per kiloliter on the international side," said spokesperson Upadhyaya. According to the corporation, even after the price adjustment, the corporation has a loss of around Rs 640 million in 15 days.
