Students of Nepal Law Campus at Exhibition Road in Kathmandu have protested against the increase in fees for B.A.L.L.B. courses.
The campus had issued a notification regarding the admission of B.A.L.L.B. 2081 on Poush 10, in which the fee was increased by about Rs 150,000. The independent students' union has protested against the notification stating that Rs. 523,650 will be levied from the new academic session.
Up until the academic year 2080, the fee to study at B.A.L.L.B. was Rs 376,610. The Free Student Union (FSU) and student organizations have jointly locked down the campus, accusing the fee hike of being impractical.
The students demand that classes be started at the same fee until the academic year 2080. Accordingly, they require that the ongoing admission process be stopped until the admission process begins.
