As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security and the Republic of Korea, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Nepali citizens will be sent to the Republic of Korea as workers under the Employment Permit System (EPS); In order to select the candidate for the Korean language test, the eligible Nepali citizens who are willing to join the examination program obtained from HRD-Korea are requested to register the application form on the basis of the following details.

The Government of Nepal is going to open the applications of 9654 people to send workers to South Korea through Employment Permit System (EPS).

The EPS branch under the Department of Foreign Employment published a public notice on Monday stating that applications would be sought.

According to the branch, in 2022 and 2023, South Korea will send 6914 thousand workers to production and 2741 workers to agriculture and animal husbandry.

An individual can apply only in one area. The employment application form will have to be filled only in the area for which the examination application form has been filled, after passing the language test.

Pushparaj Katuwal, director of the branch, said that those who have been selected for agriculture and animal husbandry will be able to start work in South Korea by 2022. The person selected for the product informed that the work will start in 2023. He informed that the examination for agriculture will be conducted soon even if it is opened with the application of EPS.

Director Katuwal said that this time, they are preparing to conduct the examination through the examination tap for the workers leaving agriculture.

According to him, arrangements have been made to have 200 participants daily in the examination which will be conducted through Tab.

Although all the arrangements for the examination were made by the EPS branch of Nepal, the examination will be conducted by the Department of Human Resources (HRD) Korea under the Ministry of Labor and Human Resources of South Korea.

South Korea has been importing workers from 16 countries including Nepal under EPS. Compared to other countries, Nepali workers seem to be the first priority, saying that they are hardworking and honest.

About 1.5 lakh trainee workers have gone to Korea from Nepal through EPS since 2008. The number of young people trying to go to South Korea is increasing every year due to the lucrative income.
