Nepal Covid-19 Update: 5763 New Cases and 19 Deaths In the Last 24 Hours
In the last 24 hours, an additional 5763 people have been confirmed infected. In the first wave, the highest number of 5743 people were found infected on the same day. The PCR of 14,403 people and the antigen test of 566 people confirmed the infection in 5,706 and 57 people respectively. At the same time, the total number of infected people in Nepal has reached 328,893.
Most of the newly infected are in the Kathmandu Valley. In Kathmandu district alone, 1932 people have been found infected, while 355 people have been infected in Lalitpur and 208 in Bhaktapur.
In Province 1, 52 people have been found infected in Jhapa and 69 in Sunsari, while in Province 2, Parsa has the highest number of 163 infected people. 212 people have been found infected in Kaski of Gandaki, 551 in Banke of Lumbini, 422 in Rupandehi and 251 in Dang. In Karnali, 97 people have been found infected in Surkhet, while in the far west, 125 people have been found infected in Kailali.
Currently, 43,213 people are actively infected in Nepal. Of these, 40,103 are in home isolation, 3,110 in institutional isolation, 401 in ICU, and 110 in the ventilator. More than 500 infected people are being treated in 12 districts including three districts of Kathmandu Valley including Morang, Parsa, Chitwan, Kaski, Dang, Banke, Rupandehi, Surkhet, and Kailali. More than 200 infected people are being treated in 17 districts.
Another 19 deaths have been reported on the last day. At the same time, 3,298 people have lost their lives in Nepal so far.
In the last 24 hours, another 1287 infected people have been recovered. Out of the total infected people in Nepal, 2 lakh 82 thousand 382 infected people have been cured. The recovery rate in Nepal is 85.9 percent.
