Nepal Covid-19 Update: In the Last 24 Hours, 2618 Cases and 14 Deaths [24th April 2021]
In the last 24 hours, an additional 2,618 people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus (Covid-19). According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,668 samples of PCR tested in laboratories across the country confirmed infection in 2,486 people, and 133 people tested positive for antigens at 1,143 border checkpoints.
At the same time, the total number of infected people has reached 297,087. Currently, 16 thousand 828 are actively infected.
According to the ministry, 14 people have died from corona infection in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the death toll has reached 3136.
According to the ministry, corona infection has been confirmed in 644 people in Kathmandu. Similarly, 352 people in Banke, 268 in Rupandehi, 172 in Dang and 141 in Lalitpur have been infected.
In all three districts of Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur), Parsa, Kaski, Dang, Banke and Rupandehi, the number of infected people has exceeded 500.
