Nepal Covid-19 Update: 8659 New Cases and 58 Deaths In the Last 24 Hours [Wednesday]

In the last 24 hours, an additional 8659 people have been confirmed infected. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, When PCR of 20 thousand 756 people and 616 people tested by antigen method and found 8605 people were infected with PCR and 54 with antigen. At the same time, the number of active infected people has reached 66,352 across the country.

The infection has been confirmed in 359,610 people in Nepal so far. In Kathmandu Valley alone, 3825 people have been infected. Of these, 458 have been infected in Bhaktapur, 518 in Lalitpur, and 2,849 in Kathmandu.

In Province 1, 269 people have been infected in Jhapa and 206 in Morang, while in Province 2, 152 people have been infected in Parsa and 149 in Dhanusha. In Gandaki Province, 284 people have been infected in Kaski, 591 in Lumbini Province in Banke, and 680 in Rupandehi. In Karnali Province, Surkhet has the highest number of infected people at 154, followed by Sudurpashchim Province at 145 in Kailali and Kanchanpur at 140.

In the last 24 hours, an additional 1993 have been cured. The recovery rate in Nepal is 80.6 percent. Another 58 people have lost their lives in the same period. In Nepal, 3,475 people have lost their lives due to Covid-19.
