Nepal Covid-19 Update: 8607 New Cases and 177 Deaths (21st May 2021)
In the last 24 hours, 177 people have died from corona infection. 8607 people have been infected and 7890 people have been recovered. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 22,353 PCR tests were performed on 8,407, and 873 antigen tests confirmed the infection in 200 people. At the same time, the total number of people infected with coronavirus in Nepal has reached 497,052.
Out of which 1 lakh 16 thousand 192 people are actively infected. The death toll from the coronavirus has reached 6,024.
Of the infected, 1 lakh 8 thousand 495 are in home isolation and 7 thousand 697 are in institutional isolation. As of Friday, 1,716 people are being treated in the ICU and 511 in the ventilator.
According to the Ministry of Health, the highest number of 1,752 corona infections have been reported in Kathmandu, 672 in Rupandehi, 639 in Morang, 419 in Kailali, 400 in Lalitpur, and 308 in Kavre.
