Nepal Covid-19 Update: 7660 New Cases and 55 Deaths In the Last 24 Hours [Tuesday]

In the last 24 hours, another 7660 people have been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus in Nepal. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 55 people have died. Earlier, the infection was confirmed in 7448 people across the country on Monday.

Although prohibitory orders have been issued in most districts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, for the purpose of prevention and control of corona, the number of infected people is on the rise.

According to the ministry, in the last 24 hours, 16,131 people have been tested with PCR and 7,587 people have been infected, while 571 people have been tested with antigen and 73 have been infected. The number of coronaviruses recovered in the last 24 hours is 1,775.

At the same time, the total number of corona infections in the country has reached 351,005 and the number of those who have recovered has reached 287,790. The total number of such deaths has reached 3 thousand 417.

In the last 24 hours, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 2779 people in Kathmandu alone. According to the ministry, 513 people have been confirmed infected in Bhaktapur and 601 in Lalitpur.

Similarly, 174 children under 9 years of age have been found to be infected with corona while 452 people in the age group of 10 to 19 years have been found to be infected with corona.

As of Tuesday, the number of active infected people across the country is 59,798. Out of which 55 thousand 520 are in home isolation and 4 thousand 278 are in institutional isolation. On Tuesday, 616 people are being treated in ICU and 179 in ventilator.
