The Nepal Army has instructed the retired army health workers to be ready to return to the service when the nation needs them. A special meeting chaired by Chief of Army Staff Purnachandra Thapa on Wednesday decided to call the health workers who have retired from the health service after 2072 BS when needed.
The army's responsibility has also increased as the number of corona infections has been on the rise recently. At the same time, a temporary hospital plan has been made to treat those infected under the provincial model and the valley model.
The army is currently managing the bodies of those who died of corona infection. It is forecasting additional roles in corona epidemic control and prevention, formulating various plans, and making necessary preparations.
