This year's SEE exam is scheduled to be held in Baishakh 2079. Due to Covid-19, the date of the exam is also being revised as the academic session has been revised. It was started from 13th of Jestha last year.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Deepak Sharma, said that discussions are underway to conduct SEE in Baishakh. He said, "Discussions are underway on the model and when to conduct the SEE exam."
Mahashram Sharma, chairman of the National Examination Board (NEB), said there was no discussion on the issue. According to him, a meeting of the board has been convened on Sunday to discuss the issue. The first meeting is being held under the chairmanship of the NEB chairman after the ministry appointed him.
Earlier, a meeting with NEB member secretary Durga Aryal had discussed the issue of setting the date of SEE examination with government school principals. In this context, Principals suggested that the class should be conducted throughout the month of Chaitra, and that preparations should be made for taking the exam in Baishakh. According to a board member, preparations are being made for the SEE exam to be held in the last week of Chaitra or the first week of Baishakh 2079.
