Class 12 Exam Postponed to Baishakh 21

The Class 12 examination for the year 2082 is now scheduled to begin on Baishakh 21. Initially, it was planned to start on Baishakh 11 (Thursday), but Mahashram Sharma, Chairperson of the National Examination Board (NEB), confirmed the revised date.

Schedule to Be Announced Baishakh 10

Although the exam date has been changed, the final examination routine has not yet been released. The NEB will hold an internal meeting to finalize the timetable and is expected to publish it tomorrow.

Prime Minister's Directive to Reschedule

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli instructed officials to postpone the start of the exams originally scheduled for Baishakh 11. Following this directive, the examination board is preparing an official notice to announce the rescheduling of the exams.

Reason for Postponement

Ongoing protests and agitation from teachers nationwide triggered the postponement. These disruptions made it difficult to conduct the exams as planned.

Meeting at Baluwatar

On Tuesday evening, Baishakh 9, NEB Chairperson Mahashram Sharma and Education Secretary Deepak Kafle met with Prime Minister Oli at Baluwatar. During the meeting, the Prime Minister advised them to delay the exams by a few days to ensure smoother administration.

Earlier Decision and Contingency Plans

The NEB had previously decided to proceed with the examination on Baishakh 11 according to the original schedule. Despite preparations to conduct the exam under any circumstances, the board ultimately chose to postpone it, following the government’s direction and the prevailing situation.
