National Land Commission (Rastriya Bhumi Aayog) Notice

Government of Nepal, National Land Commission (Rastriya Bhumi Aayog), Tahachal, Kathmandu: A memorandum of understanding was signed between the National Land Commission and the local levels, and a 35-day notice was published in the Gorkhapatra National Daily to manage the landless Dalits, landless squatters, and unorganized residents. According to the instructions of the Election Commission in the districts, all the works which were postponed from 31st of Bhadra 2079 after the Election Commission issued a notification that the Code of Conduct will not be applicable, this Commission will publish the notification and re-inform.

After that, all local levels, including Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and all government and non-governmental bodies, including the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, are directed to make necessary preparations to immediately carry out all the work related to tax collection, verification, distribution of land, land surveying and Land Ownership Certificate distribution, and until the work of tax collection and verification is completed. This notification has been published to remove the slums of Dalits, landless squatters, and unorganized residents and not to do any act that makes them unsafe.
