Nagarjuna Valley Academy Kathmandu Received ISO Certificate
Nagarjuna Valley Academy, located in Ranivan, Nagarjuna Municipality, Kathmandu, has received the International Standardization Mark (ISO). The ISO 21001 certificate, awarded to excellent schools, was handed over during a ceremony on Saturday, 25 January 2025.
Engineer Homanath Pokharel, chairman of the Nagarjuna Valley Academy Private Educational Trust Board of Directors and School Management Committee, chaired the ceremony, which was hosted by Krishna Prasad Kapri, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education, as the chief guest.
As an excellent school in the Nagarjuna region, Nagarjuna Valley Academy has fulfilled most of the standards and promised to fulfill the remaining standards quickly. Nagarjuna Valley Academy has become the first in the area to receive the ISO 21002 certificate, the international standard of quality awarded to excellent schools. ISO 21001 is a global standard for educational institutions which guides learning and teaching in academic institutions.
Nagarjuna Valley Academy Private Educational Trust Board of Directors and School Management Committee Chairman Engineer Homanath Pokharel and Principal Uddhav Narayan Humagai were handed over the ISO logo and certificate by Everest International Management Consultancy and Training Agency MD Shailendra Kharel.
Reacting to the school receiving the ISO certificate, School Management Committee Chairman Engineer Homanath Pokharel said that since the school has received international recognition, the teachers, students, and parents deserve its praise. He said that the school has come this far due to everyone's support, goodwill, and coordination, and he noted that the school family and well-wishers are all happy to receive the ISO certificate. He said that this certificate accepted by the school will play an essential role in uplifting the educational sector, and he expects positive advice and suggestions in the coming days.
Chief guest at the ceremony and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education Krishna Prasad Kapri congratulated Nagarjuna Valley Academy for receiving the ISO certificate. He also believed that education would improve only when public education was good. Since Nagarjuna Valley Academy is a non-profit organization run by a private educational trust, parents should send their children to school with confidence.
The school's principal, Uddhav Narayan Humagai, said cooperation is essential to successfully fulfilling the responsibility that the ISO certificate has given the school.
Principal Uddhav Narayan Humagai expressed his commitment to providing quality education to the students, earning the ISO logo, and bringing about a change in education. He said that students studying at Nagarjuna Valley will make a difference in society and be excellent individuals. Parents said that the results would take some time. Principal Humagai said that training will be arranged for teachers every week.
Vice-Principal Prabha Adhikari conducted the program. More than six hundred parents were present at the ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by special guests Educationist Dr. Dhurba Raj Regmi, Rameshwar Lama, Nagarjun Municipality Education Branch Chief Krishna Kubar, Nagarjun Municipality Ward 01 Chairman Rameshwar Lama, PABSON Nagarjun Chairman Basudev Ghimire, Resource Person Krishna Regmi, Nagarjun Valley Academy Private Educational Trust Board Vice Chairman Shri Arjun Adhikari, Secretary Bhim Prasad Pokharel, Treasurer Rameshwar Sharma Aryal, and other educationists and local dignitaries.
