The government has deployed Myadi Police personnel in the field on the basis of security sensitivity for the security of the local level election to be held on 2079 Baishakh 30.
The Police Headquarters has deployed different numbers of Myadi Police in seven states and valleys by distributing the number based on the sensitivity of the polling station. The government had recruited 100,000 Myadi Police personnel for the local elections.
Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Bishnukumar KC, informed that Myadi Police personnel have been deployed in the field for local level election security by distributing different numbers in seven provinces and three districts of Kathmandu Valley.
The highest number of Myadi Police has been deployed in eight districts of Madhya Pradesh. 21,000 Myadi Police have been deployed in Madhes.
Similarly, Myadi Police has been deployed in three districts of Kathmandu Valley in the lowest number. A total of 4,711 Myadi Police personnel have been deployed in the Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur districts of Kathmandu Valley. Security personnel has been mobilized by determining the number by analyzing the security sensitivity in the election.
Similarly, 17,421 people have been deployed in 14 districts of State 1 while 12,186 people have been deployed in 10 districts of Kathmandu besides Kathmandu Valley.
Similarly, 10,933 Myadi Police personnel have been deployed in 11 districts of Gandaki, 15,828 in 12 districts of Lumbini, 10,753 in 10 districts of Karnali, and 10,161 in nine districts of the Sudurpashchim. A total of 99,993 Myadi Police personnel have been deployed in 77 districts for local-level election security. The term policy will be operational for 40 days.
A total of 293,314 people had applied for the Myadi Police. Police spokesperson KC informed that 99,993 people were selected from the applicants and given training.
The appointment letter was given to the Myadi Police on 27th Chaitra 2078. Police plan to mobilize them seven days after the local elections.
A total of 2,548 ex-servicemen had also applied for the post. There are 11 ex-women soldiers submitting applications. A total of 1,447 people, including 16 women from the former police, and 495 retired from the armed police had also applied for the term.
