MoU on Online Teaching Technologies between Mid-Western University (MU) and OERU:

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Mid-Western University (MU) and educational institution Open Education Resources for Universities (OERU). Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Nand Bahadur Singh on behalf of the university and Wayne McIntosh on behalf of the OERU signed the operation on online teaching technology.

The ORE is an important project of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Which is being run by the OIR Foundation. It is affiliated with 41 different reputed universities and international institutions worldwide. In Asia, only 13 open universities in Nepal and one in the Mid-Western University have become partners of the OIRU.

The agreement is signed by Mid-Western University under the OERU Outreach Partnership Program. Vice-Chancellor of the university Panchdev Bhatt is facilitating 'focal person'. Likewise, the university has contracted with Turnitin for online teaching technology. This includes Gradescope, Feedback Studio and Symcheck for Admission features.

Bhatta claimed that the agreement was important not only for the University of the Midwest but also for Nepal. "Through these systems, students and professors can access educational materials, research papers online, not only during the current lockdown but also in the future," he said, adding, "The agreement has helped a lot in establishing Singapore University as an e-university.

Founded in 2010, Mid-Western University is currently producing mass-aware message content to prevent and minimize lockdown created by COVID-19. There are 17 campuses in Mukherjee with central and central headquarters in Surkhet.
