MoEST Called Concerned Bodies to Discuss the Operation of School:

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST) has called the concerned bodies to discuss the operation of the school at 8 am on Monday.

The ministry called on stakeholders for a discussion after the Covid Crisis Management Center (CCMC) proposed closing schools and colleges in infected areas for at least three weeks, saying the new variant of the coronavirus (UK variant) was high among children.

Chairman of N-PABSON Rituraj Sapkota said that the ministry has called for a discussion on the operation of the school. He said, "Tomorrow's discussion will lead to a conclusion on how to move forward."

PABSON said the government was preparing to close schools in major cities, including Kathmandu. PABSON chairperson Tika Puri and general secretary Kumar Ghimire said in a statement that it would be appropriate to run the school by adopting health safety precautions.

As the rate of corona infection is not high in the country, it has been requested to make restrictive arrangements only for a certain period of time only in the concerned school or concerned municipality and to run the school in other places by adopting health safety standards.
