Ministry of Education Bulletin 2079 Falgun 16: The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST) in Nepal is leading efforts to integrate information technology into school education. As part of this initiative, grants have been provided to schools for the establishment and operation of information technology laboratories since the school sector reform program.
The program has been continued under the President's Educational Reform Program, and schools are encouraged to incorporate digital materials and software into their teaching and learning methods.
To ensure the reliability of the software and materials used, the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD) has published specifications for the features that should be included in the Learning Management System (LMS) used by schools.
The CEHRD requires schools to implement these specifications in their LMS and keep records of the features they are using. Additionally, organizations and firms distributing LMS systems must submit information on the digital content of their LMS system to the CEHRD for documentation in the management branch.
Overall, the government of Nepal is committed to utilizing technology to improve the quality of education in the country, and the CEHRD is playing a crucial role in ensuring the proper implementation and management of digital materials and software in schools.
