The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation announces the distribution of the following awards in the current Fiscal Year 2081/82. This notice is published to invite applications from individuals or institutions that have contributed to the respective fields. Applications with the specified documents should be submitted to the Culture Division of this Ministry within 30 days from the date of publication of this notice.

Award Categories:
1. Gopal Prasad Rimal National Award:
Categories:
(a) Poetry: Free verse, narrative poetry, long poems, lyric poetry, songs, ghazals, and other forms of verse composition.
(b) Drama: Literary compositions related to plays and short plays.
2. Maha Kavi Devkota Award:
Categories:
(a) Poetry: Short poems, narrative poetry, long poems, lyric poetry, songs, ghazals.
(b) Essays: Creative essays, academic, analytical, and research-based critiques, objective and logical writings, travelogues, memoirs, autobiographies, interviews, dialogues, soliloquies.
(c) Prose Fiction/Drama: Short stories, novels, one-act plays, and full-length dramas.
(d) Children's Literature/Folk Literature: Children's poetry, plays, fiction, essays, biographies, autobiographies, travelogues, memoirs, research
studies, and collection, editing, singing, and recitation of folk literature.
(e) Language and Literature Service: Preservation and promotion of Nepali and other languages and literature of Nepal.
3. Itihas Shiromani Baburam Acharya National Award:
Category: Research-based study, promotion, and dissemination of Nepali history.
4. Adikavi Bhanubhakta National Award:
Category: Research, study, and writing in the field of Nepali poetry.
5. Yogmaya National Award:
Category: Contributions in social reform, social transformation, women’s rights, research on women's personalities, violence against women, and women's welfare.
6. Pushpa Lal National Award:
Categories:
(a) Political/Theoretical
(b) History
(c) Literature, Culture, and Science
Documents to be Included with Application or Recommendation:
- Personal/Institution details: Name, parents' names, if married, spouse’s name.
- Individual or institution bio-data.
- Contact address, email, and mobile number.
- Certified copy of Nepali citizenship certificate.
- Permanent account number (PAN).
- Details of published works (submit one copy of each work, if possible).
- Two passport-sized photographs.
- If the published works are unavailable, provide other introductory material of talent.
- If recommended by an institution, include the recommendation letter from the institution.
