Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) Rajendra Prasad Shrestha has said that it is necessary to make the flow of public services more efficient.
Addressing a seminar organized by Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) in Lalitpur for secretaries and special category officers, he said that the civil service would be strengthened if the employees were efficient.
He said, "The office run by a skilled and efficient staff will be very transparent. In that case, educated people who know and understand will get the opportunity to work. '
Chief Secretary Shankardash Bairagi said that public administration would play an important role for both the government and the people and urged them to fulfill their responsibilities.
NASC Executive Director Dr Rajan Khanal said that they were working on a plan to strengthen employee's competency.
On the occasion, amendments and management of public procurement regulations and challenges in public service delivery will be discussed.
