Education, Science, and Technology Minister Vidya Bhattarai has said that the ministry is making necessary preparations to conduct the Secondary Education Examination (SEE), which will begin on Thursday, in an organized, dignified, and peaceful manner. She stated this during a meeting of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

She mentioned that regular meetings are being held with bodies such as the Examination Control Office and the National Examination Board to ensure the SEE examination is conducted systematically. She also said that a request has been made to the Home Ministry to strengthen security arrangements during the examination period. Additionally, she noted that instructions have been given to each examination center to prove they are capable of conducting the exam in an organized manner, rather than deploying police at the centers and creating fear and panic among students.

She said, "At present, many issues are being raised regarding the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). In the context of making the SEE more organized, continuous meetings are being held with stakeholders, including the National Examination Board. The Examination Board has also requested the Home Ministry for security arrangements for the SEE examination."

She further informed that a code of conduct has been prepared outlining what students should and should not do. She emphasized that if everyone deployed at the examination centers acts with dignity, it will not be difficult for students to remain disciplined. Minister Bhattarai also stated that since the SEE falls under federalism, it is essential to introduce a policy to transfer the SEE to the provinces.
