Mid-West University's constituent institution, Mid-West University School of Management (MUSOM), has successfully obtained the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certificate from the University Grants Commission (UGC). The certificate was handed over to the Mid-West University School of Management (MUSOM) by the Commission's chairperson, Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari, during a ceremony held on Thursday, 9th January 2024.
The program organized by the University Grants Commission was chaired by the Chairperson of the University Grants Commission, Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari. The Vice-Chancellor of Mid-West University attended the event, Prof. Dr. Dhruvakumar Gautam, Member Secretary of the University Grants Commission, Prof. Shankar Prasad Bhandari, Registrar of Mid-West University, Prof. Dr. Shobhakhar Kandel, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation of the Commission, Prof. Dr. Regina Maskey, officials of the Commission, officials of Mid-West University, the Director of MUSOM, and professors among others.
The certificate was handed over to the Mid-West University School of Management after an extensive evaluation by a team of experts, following various criteria and indices set by the University Grants Commission, and an evaluation conducted by the committee led by the Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University and PRT Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Keshar Jung Baral.
During his remarks, Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari, Chairperson of the University Grants Commission, congratulated the Mid-West University School of Management family on successfully obtaining the QAA certificate and expressed confidence that the institution will continue to improve its quality in the coming days.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Mid-West University, Prof. Dr. Dhruvakumar Gautam, stated that MUSOM is the first educational institution in Karnali Province to achieve the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certificate, making it a historic and proud moment for Mid-West University, Karnali Province, and the entire country. He further mentioned that the whole Mid-West University is moving towards achieving QAA.
Similarly, the Director of MUSOM, Dr. Sushil Kumar Shahi, mentioned that the collective effort and hard work of all individuals associated with the school made it possible to achieve this success in making MUSOM a quality educational institution. He also stated they would continue maintaining and enhancing the quality in the coming days.
