Math Park Inaugurated on Pi Day and International Math Day
Math Park was established by Imperial World School in Budanilkanth, Nepal, and was inaugurated on Pi Day and International Math Day. The Science and Technology Secretary Pramiladevi Bajracharya inaugurated the park, stating that it has added something new to the education sector in Nepal.
Making Mathematics Fun and Accessible for Students
The primary objective of Math Park is to make mathematics fun and accessible for students. It provides them with an opportunity to learn while having fun using math. Kamala Tuladhar, president of the Nepal Teachers' Federation, praised Math Park and said that such parks should be available in all schools. Vinod Pant, head of Kathmandu University School of Education, STEAM Department, emphasized that mathematics is essential, and no study is complete without it. He also highlighted that students should be taught mathematics not only in the classroom but also by taking them to the park.
Junita Shahi Karki, principal of the school, stated that the math park was started with the aim of making mathematics easy to study in a fun way. Karki informed that not only her students but also students of private and public schools can study mathematics by observing the park.
