Master's Program in Governance and Anticorruption Studies at Tribhuvan University

Tribhuvan University is going to teach 'Governance and Anticorruption Studies' at the postgraduate (Master) level under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The MA in Governance and Anticorruption Studies is being taught from this fiscal year.

The university is preparing to teach the first semester of the subject from September 3, said program coordinator Dr. Yogesh Ranjit. It is said that it will cost Rs 173,000 to study this subject for two years.

Stating that it is necessary to move ahead by paying attention to the international level education which is not available in the world, Dr. Kusum Shakya, the skeptical Dean, said that the study of this subject in Nepal would play an important role in social change.

Stating that there is a plan to reduce corruption by coordinating and cooperating with various bodies of the government of Nepal as well as national and international organizations, social activist Bharat Jangam expressed happiness that his dream has come true after five decades.

He said that Tribhuvan University is the first in the world to study anti-corruption.

Dr. Shivlal Adhikari, Chief of the Central Department of Economics, expressed the belief that the study of this subject would provide employment opportunities at the national and international level as experts are needed to control corruption in all sectors.
