The Madhesh Pragya-Pratisthan (Madhesh Academy), situated in Janakpurdham, Madhesh Pradesh, has launched a notable initiative to document the comprehensive history of Madhesh, inviting expert historians and scholars to contribute. Scope of the Project:
The history writing project encompasses several distinct periods and aspects of Madhesh:
- Ancient History of Madhesh: This section focuses on Madhesh's history from its earliest days to the Malla rule era.
- Medieval History of Madhesh: Covering the period up to the Gorkha rule.
- Modern History of Madhesh: Spanning from the ministerial rule of the Rana period to the present day.
- Social History of Madhesh: Exploring the social dynamics and structures within Madhesh.
- Cultural History of Madhesh: Documenting the rich cultural heritage of the region.
- Economic History of Madhesh: An analysis of the economic evolution and trends in Madhesh.
