Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology Started Construction of Building:

Construction of Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology has started in Chitlang, the northern region of Makwanpur, which is included in the multi-year plan. The construction of the administrative building of the university has been started on Saturday. The construction of the administrative building has been started at a cost of Rs 65 million after the federal government allocated Rs 1.20 billion for the construction of the university in the current fiscal year, said Virodh Khatiwada.

MP Khatiwada said that the structure of the university to be built in Chitlang in Thaha Municipality-9 will also be built-in Kavre.

The technical university will be constructed in different phases and the total cost is estimated to be Rs 43 billion. For that, China has already committed to help build the necessary infrastructure.

Four thousand students will be able to study at the university. MP Khatiwada claimed that there is a plan to bring the university into operation from next year as soon as the bill is implemented.

The university operation plan has been put forward with the objective of producing capable, highly technical, and other ideal manpower, scientists, and thinkers and creating new knowledge and technology required for the country. In addition, the government has the policy to open Madan Bhandari Technical University. The government has already submitted the bill for the establishment of the university in the previous session of the federal parliament.

The bill stipulates that the university will be located in Chitlang, Thaha Municipality, Makwanpur. Currently, the process of acquiring 740 ropanis of land at the site has started.

The university will focus on subjects and areas including science and technology, humanities and social sciences, management, law, and justice. The bill provides for the formation of a patronage committee to operate separately from other universities. Under it will be the executive council.

The executive head will be the president of the university. This university does not have a chancellor or vice-chancellor. Similarly, MP Khatiwada, Mayor of Thaha Municipality Labsher Bista, and others have been monitoring the construction of the building in Chitlang.
