Madan Bhandari Memorial College Building Inaugurates with Support from India

On 27th February 2023, Monday, Madan Bhandari Memorial College building in Anamnagar, Kathmandu was inaugurated by former Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava. The three-storied building has 30 rooms and was completed in 2009 with a grant from the Government of India, after the foundation stone was laid in 2006.

During the opening program, Former Minister Pandey highlighted the friendly relations between Nepal and India, reflecting mutual understanding and cooperation. He also appreciated the development projects initiated by India for the betterment of Nepalese communities and hoped for continued support.

Indian Ambassador Srivastava expressed his pleasure to see the completion of the college building and informed the audience about the numerous education and health cooperation projects between India and Nepal. He further emphasized the belief that these bilateral relations will be further strengthened with mutual support from the people's level. The ambassador also mentioned that the Government of India offers scholarships to Nepali students for higher education in India every year.

The Madan Bhandari Foundation Chairman, Ushakiran Bhandari, District Coordination Committee Coordinator Santosh Budhathoki, and Campus Head of Madan Bhandari College, Ramesh Chandra Paudel, praised India's contribution to the building construction and development initiatives in Nepal.

The inauguration of the Madan Bhandari Memorial College building in Anamnagar, Kathmandu marks a significant milestone in the friendship and cooperation between Nepal and India. The completion of the building will help to improve the quality of education and provide better opportunities for students in Nepal. The event was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries from Nepal and India, who acknowledged and appreciated the joint efforts towards development.
