A cooperation agreement has been reached between Lumbini Buddhist University and Beijing Language and Culture University of China.
In a program held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Monday, in the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Vice-Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University Prof. Dr. Suvarnalal Bajracharya and Chairman of Beijing Language and Culture University, Tuwang Fang, exchanged the agreement documents. According to the agreement, both universities from the two countries will work on cultural exchange, language teaching, and research activities.
Similarly, a Nepal Institute will be established in Beijing, and a China Institute will be established in Lumbini. During Prime Minister Oli’s official visit to China from 2081, Mangsir 17 to 20, an understanding of volunteering in Chinese language teaching was reached.
On that occasion, Prime Minister and Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University Oli noted that Nepal and China have had people-to-people relations for centuries and expressed happiness over the expansion of academic and educational relations and cooperation between the two countries.
