Mukesh Raj Joshi of Jaipritivi Municipality - 8 Joshigaun of Bajhang District, has set a world record by reading the book for one hundred and 24 hours 30 minutes.

He has kept the world record by reading books consistently for five days and nights. He completed 125 hours of continuous reading at the NAME Building in New Plaza, Putlisadak, Kathmandu.

At Guinness Events Nepal, Joshi of Bajhang had read various philosophies, histories, constitutions, and books available there. From the last 5th, Ashoj had started reading continuously.

Joshi had read history, biographies of various famous people and other books for one hundred 24 hours 30 minutes. Earlier, Deepak Sharma from Nepal had enrolled in the Guinness Book of 2008 after reading for 131 hours.

Just a few days ago, a Nigerian youth broke Sharma's break after reading for one hundred and twenty hours. However, he has not been able to get the evidence as per the procedure.

Joshi is now working at the Royal Casino in Kathmandu.
