Lockdown Period in Nepal Extended Up to 8 Days:

The government has decided to lockdown an additional 8 days. The meeting of the High-Level Coordination Committee for Corona Prevention and Control has decided to add time to the lockdown. The proposal, which was convened by the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwar Pokhrel on Sunday, decided to extend the lockdown to 8 days, sending the proposal to the cabinet.

The government had announced a weeklong lockdown from 6 am on March 24, with the aim of reducing the risk of the coronavirus. The lockdown period ends on March 31, 2020, from 6 am.

But the committee has decided to extend the lockdown period, saying there is still a risk of a corona infection. Corona infection has been reported in five people so far in Nepal.
