Tribhuvan University (TU): List of Non-Renewed Campus/College

Tribhuvan University (TU), recognized as the oldest and most prestigious university in Nepal, has issued a notice from its Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Directorate of Planning, regarding the renewal of campus affiliations. Over the years, a plethora of colleges have been affiliated with TU, enriching the educational landscape of the country. However, some of these affiliations have not been renewed in a timely manner, raising significant concerns.

Pending Affiliation Renewals and Their Consequences

In a recent announcement published through Gorkhapatra, the university has reminded campuses and colleges of the critical importance of renewing their affiliations. Specific reminders were issued on 2079/09/20 and 2079/12/28. This renewal process ensures a continued relationship between the institution and the university, fostering ongoing academic excellence and mutual benefits. The lack of renewal has prompted the university to contemplate potential actions, such as revoking these affiliations.

Colleges at Risk of Losing Affiliation

TU has publicized a list of campuses that have overlooked the renewal of their affiliation despite the notifications. These colleges are at risk of losing their recognition from the university, which could have detrimental effects on their reputation and academic standing.

Guidance for Campuses Awaiting Renewal

For campuses still in the process of renewing their affiliations, Tribhuvan University advises prompt action. Colleges are recommended to get in touch with the concerned Dean's office as soon as possible, presenting the official Nissa proof to validate their process.

Action Based on TU Rules

Non-renewed campuses are notified that any subsequent action will be governed by TU rules, as dictated by the TU Relationship Committee. It is therefore of utmost importance that the colleges in question take the necessary steps to ensure their affiliations are renewed promptly.

This initiative by Tribhuvan University underscores its commitment to upholding academic standards, ensuring that all its affiliated colleges adhere to set regulations, thus offering high-quality education to all its students.
