Sections 299, 300, and 301 under Part-5 of the Civil Code, 2074 state the type and nature of government, public, and community property. Section 304 of the said code has made a legal arrangement that the responsibility of protecting such government, public, and community property is also at the local level.
Based on the mentioned legal provisions, the responsibility of this office is to protect government, public, and community property within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City area; Any association, organization, agency, group, person, or any other person who damages, damages, destroys, or encroaches on the such property by any means or process is prohibited.
In case someone damages, damages or destroys a government, public, or community property in violation of this notice, the related parties will be prosecuted according to the law, and compensation for the damage will be paid according to the law.
