Karnali Pradesh Govt Planned to Build a Mountain Police Academy:

The Karnali Pradesh government is planning to build a mountain police academy in the high mountainous region. The cabinet meeting is going to build an academy in the high mountainous region to produce skilled manpower. "Rs 39.3 million has been allocated for the construction of the establishment," said Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Naresh Bhandari.

According to the Province Police Office, a mountain police academy will be set up at one of the places Humla, Dolpa, Mugu, or Jumla in Karnali. Similarly, the provincial government has allocated Rs 10 million for the establishment of a police training center in Karnali. At present, the training center of Karnali is in Nepalgunj, Banke.

Bimala KC, the spokesperson of the government and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, said that the cabinet meeting on Thursday authorized an additional Rs 50 million for the construction of mountain establishments and training centers as well as other police structures.
