Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) has received approval to run the MBBS program in Jumla. The Medical Education Commission has decided to give approval for conducting the MBBS program.

The meeting of the commission held on June 12 decided to give the approval to start the MBBS program at the undergraduate level. Now, the legal way of medical studies is open in Karnali.

Information Officer of the Medical Education Commission, Semantaraj Koirala, informed that the decision has been taken to start the MBBS program at the academy. "Even though the decision-making process is delayed due to Covid-19, the MBBS program is conducted in the same academic session," he said. "Currently, it has been decided to give about 25 seats to the academy to run MBBS." 

According to Amrit Bhandari, chief administrative officer of KAHS, the academy is preparing to run more new medical programs. Similarly, MBBS and MD programs have opened new doors in medical education. The academy is providing quality healthcare to the people of Karnali. KAHS has started teaching postgraduate level of medical education.
