Janajagriti Secondary School of Khotang has been awarded as the best secondary school. This school is located in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-2, Dandagaon in Solma of Diktel. It has received the award of 'Best Management School' among the public schools in the province.
According to the ministry, the school was awarded as the community school with the best management among the schools that participated in the evaluation from the district in the program of the Ministry of Social Development No. 1 for the financial year 2079/080.
More than 150 students from 44 districts including mountains, hills, and plains are doing theoretical and experimental studies/research in the fully residential school, which has been conducting lifelong education as an alternative education campaign with the support of the Shubhadra-Madan Foundation since 2072.
Capacity education for the individual, economy education for the country, and clean environment education for the world: In the school with an area of 1200 ropani, rearing cows, buffaloes, goats, chickens, pigeons, fish, horses, plowing fields, making cow & buffalo excrement, Education has been given on how to mix vegetables, cook-eat food, brush the floor, make/operate cars, computers, sew clothes, and produce organic fertilizers from human excrement.
The Ministry of Social Development of Province 1 has honored Janajagruti Community Residential Secondary School, which is run in collaboration with the Shubhadra Madan Foundation, saying that knowledge of books is not enough, practical education is the need of the day.
The event, which is run in collaboration with Shubhadra Madan Foundation, has received 14 lakhs and 50 thousand rupees along with certificates and trophies from the Chief Minister and Ministers.
The school received an award from the Ministry of Social Development of Province No. 1 among the best primary and basic schools in 14 districts.
State Chief Minister Rajendra Kumar Rai and Social Development Minister Rajan Rai presented the awards to the school's Managing Director Surya Rai and Principal Savita Dhakal.
With the support of the Shubhadra-Madan Foundation, the full residential school, which has been conducting livelihood education as an alternative education campaign since 2072, has been studying the government curriculum by simplifying it into 12 types and putting it into practice.
In that school, more than 150 students from different 44 districts including mountains, hills, and plains are doing theoretical and experimental studies in full residential form.
