Jamunakhark Secondary School Holds Second Educational Festival
The second educational festival has started at Jamunakhark Secondary School in Arthunge, Beni Municipality 6, Myagdi. The festival was inaugurated on Friday by Social Development and Health Minister of Gandaki Province, Shusila Simkhada.
The festival is being organized to identify the talents of students, protect science and technology, art and culture, and highlight the development and potential of the educational sector.
A variety of events are being held at the festival, including:
- Rhetorical competition
- Motivational class
- Open poetry competition
- Painting competition
- Hymn competition
- Science and educational material display
- Live answer competition
The festival will run for four days.
Minister Simkhada Urges Local Level to Support Community Schools
In his address at the inauguration ceremony, Minister Simkhada urged the local level to make necessary policies for the educational development of community schools. He said that the state government has emphasized on making necessary policies for the development of the physical infrastructure of community schools and increasing the educational quality. He also suggested that the educational quality in schools can be increased with the initiative of the local level and community.
School Principal Says Festival Will Help Students Develop Their Talents
School principal Somnath Dhungana said that the festival will help students develop their talents and learn about different aspects of education, literature, art, culture and science and technology. He said that arrangements have been made to keep educational information stalls free of charge at the festival.
School Management Committee Chairman Says Festival Will Highlight Educational Sector
Yadav Subedi, chairman of the school management committee, said that the school has organized the festival to highlight the development and potential of the educational sector. He said that the festival will also help to create awareness about the importance of education among the people.
