Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder

Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder and President of Agro Enterprise and Research Center and Central Member of Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Arun Raj Sumargi have met at the Israeli Embassy. The discussion was started by Sarjan BC, Coordinator of Agro Enterprise Research Center, with the introduction of President Sumargi and Agri-Enterprise Research Center. Agriculture has strengthened the ties between the two countries, which have had strong ties for more than six decades.

Without modernization in agriculture, the living standards of Nepalis will not rise; "We need Israel's special assistance technology," Sumargi said. During the meeting, he made proposals on the construction of Agro Enterprise Research Center in the same province, visit of agri-entrepreneur to Israel, research cooperation, investment in modern agriculture, and Israeli assistance in the construction of Agricultural University.

Ambassador Goder, who is in his second term for Nepal, said that he was very positive about the proposal and was eager to help Nepal and Nepalis. He also stressed the need to focus on the productivity of agriculture rather than the percentage of people investing in agriculture. He also clarified that due to Israeli technology, a total of 25 farmers have provided enough food to the remaining 985 people.

He said that the foundation of the relationship would be laid on two legs, adding that Nepal had provided less assistance in the Israeli-Palestinian relations. Coordinator Sarjan BC emphasized facilitating research, technology development, agricultural university empowerment, and Hebrew University in technical manpower building. The talks concluded with a commitment by both sides to play a strong role in strengthening relations between the two countries.
