International Flights Resumed from Tuesday:
International flights have resumed in Nepal today. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has given permission for commercial flights that were postponed a few days before the start of the Lockdown.
After a long wait and all-round pressure, regular international commercial flights will start from Tuesday.
The government has decided to suspend domestic flights till the end of Bhadra and will continue charter rescue flights along with regular international commercial flights.
The government has set a schedule for regular commercial flights by lifting the international flight ban imposed on eight different countries. According to the new flight schedule, there will be 60 regular flights and 27 charter rescue flights from Tuesday to the 14th Ashoj.
Earlier, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation had approved the schedule of international regular and charter flights starting from Tuesday and sent it to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal for implementation. International regular commercial and charter rescue flights are being operated in line with the same preparations.
Spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Raj Kumar Chhetri, said that flight schedules of five different airlines have been fixed for regular commercial flights on Tuesday. According to spokesperson Kshatriya, two Nepal Airlines corporations will fly from Kathmandu to Doha and Kuwait, while Himalayan Airlines will fly to Doha and China.
