Important Notice for Absentee Police Personnel from Nepal Police Headquarters
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Nepal, along with the Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal (Secretariat of Inspector General of Police, Legal Branch), have collectively published this notice pertaining to police personnel who have remained absent from their duties without any prior information or communication.
Pertinent Regulations
This notice has been issued in line with Rule 115 of the Police Regulations, 2071. The rule emphasizes the compulsory attendance of all police personnel at their designated offices and highlights the legal process for those failing to comply with the same.
Absentee Personnel's Duty
It is expected from all those police personnel who haven't attended their offices since the date specified in the notice, to present themselves with a satisfactory explanation for their non-appearance. This is to be done within seven (7) days (excluding the deadline) from the date of publication of this notice.
Consequences of Non-compliance
Failing to adhere to this notice, the absentee personnel would be subject to sub-rule (1) of rule 113 and section (f) of the same rule of the Police Regulations, 2071. According to the following (b) (1) of rule 109 of the regulations, they would be treated as offenders under Schedule - 14, Part - 4 of the Police Regulations, 2071.
