Nepal's young leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been shortlisted for the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Player of the Month nomination for September.
Along with Sandeep, Bangladesh spinner Nasum Ahmed and American Jaskaran Malhotra have also been nominated for 'Player of the Month' in September.
Sandeep had an excellent performance in the triangular series in Oman. In the series involving Oman, USA, and Nepal, Sandeep had an impressive performance in 4 games. Before the triangular series, Nepal played two games against Papua New Guinea (PNG)
The chain was swept clean. While on a tour of Oman, Sandeep took 18 wickets in six games, giving him a bowling economy of 7.38.
Jaskaran Malhotra of the United States, who was nominated along with Sandeep, hit six sixes in the same over against PNG, while Ahmed of Bangladesh had the best performance in favor of the team in the ODI series against New Zealand.
